Formation of Government - political
The Constitution and the Bill of rights are the two most important documents that have ever been created in America. After the revolution we were left with basically a blank slate and had nothing more than a basic idea for our new country, and idea that it would be lead by the people for the people. Thus, the constitution was made. This document represented basically how our government would be run (roughly) and set up the checks and balances of power ensuring that we would never turn into a monarchy. This was all set and well, but it was soon brought up that this document did not state the laws and codes of the people who lived in this country. So the first 10 amendments, the Bill of Rights, was added to the constitution. From freedom of speech and religion to the right to bear arms this set up the code for the people of America. Basically, there is nothing more important than this document because it is the blueprints as well as the foundation of our government and our country.
